We are an ambitious and dynamic company with plans for growth and increased diversity of our business interests. We have expanded quickly and believe that there is significant market potential for our services. Our human capital is our greatest asset and we will value and enhance your clinical skills. We offer high quality clinical training in the methodologies we use and a supported environment in which to learn and become competent in FFT. We will support formal training for systemic and family therapy training with part funding of your course and time off for attendance at taught classes. We generally expect you to train in the FFT model first before undertaking additional training but if you have already begun your training we can discuss your pathway with you.
We are already progressing FFT therapists to become FFT Supervisors and hope to develop FFT Supervisors to become Programme Managers as we build our capacity and develop our clinical teams so we are serious about our investment in you. We are interested in what additional skills, ideas and interests you will bring with you too and where you might help us to develop new services and opportunities.
Family Psychology Mutual offers flexible working and hours with a positive culture and working environment. Staff benefits include an Employee Assistance Programme, free tea and coffee, cycle to work scheme and childcare vouchers. We will provide you with good IT, efficient back office administration and software packages to make your life easier. As an employee owned business we want to and expect to hear your voice about what the company does and where we decide to invest our resources. We will pay for a meal out at Christmas and bring you to whole service events twice a year so that you can develop peer relationships and contribute to the company.
Our staff portraits tell their own story about our brilliant staff teams. If you would like to discuss an application further please do give us a call.

Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare Worker
We are continuing to expand our successful Functional Family Therapy service in Norfolk. Therefore we are seeking a final team member who is an experienced and professional individual (social work, mental health nursing, psychology) to join a Functional Family Therapy Service in Norfolk. The team deliver Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW); an adaptation of the FFT model for families in which there is child abuse and neglect present. It is a licenced, evidence-based programme with a strong track record. This is the second such service in the UK, so this is an exciting development for clinical practice. This is an outcomes-based contract for children 8-18 at risk of care entry (using a social impact bond structure), working to prevent children and young people entering care. We also work with a smaller cohort of young people who have entered care, for whom the service will manage a return home using the FFT-CW intervention. With significant family work experience, you may already be on the journey towards accreditation as a family therapist or systemic practitioner (in which case we may help to support your training) or you may already be qualified. You may also be trained in another therapeutic model but seek to expand your knowledge to systemic work. You will be joining a current team of 6 therapists from different clinical backgrounds, supervised by a senior mental health clinician, who has been promoted to FFT supervisor in May 2020. The team has been operational since March 2019 covering the county and is embedded into the Social Care Teams in Kings Lynn, Norwich, Breckland and Great Yarmouth. You will achieve fidelity to the therapeutic model through initial training and continuous consultation, coaching supported by the Supervisor. You will take referrals from Norfolk Social Care and establish effective working relationships with both Social Care and partner agencies to achieve outcomes for families. You will be comfortable working with the FFT-CW model which will make the best of your skills in engaging families and creating sustainable change with them. You will take an outcome-focused approach with good sensitivity to dynamic risk, child protection, interagency working and complexity. You will become part of an employee owned non-profit organisation, who has become proficient in the implementation of FFT in different parts of the UK and in different adaptations of the model. This allows cross-learning and mutual support and potential progression to other roles.
A relocation package is also available.
