Background

Following a review of FPM’s financial systems and support in 2024, which has led to the implementation of a Virtual Finance Office, FPM are now looking to replace the current consultant led financial leadership and introduce a Head of Finance to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support the next phase of FPM’s growth.

About you

The Head of Finance plays a leadership role within FPM, overseeing and accountable for all aspects of the organisation’s financial management and ensuring its long-term financial sustainability. This position not only leads the development and execution of FPM’s financial planning and systems but also drives the financial strategy, aligning it with FPM’s broader organisational goals and priorities. Whilst the role requires attendance at our Board meetings, the role is not a director position or named on Companies House.

Working closely with the Executive Directors and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance ensures that FPM’s financial operations support the organisation's mission and strategic direction. The role includes providing financial information to FPM's partners and stakeholders to ensure financial interoperability and collaboration across projects. Additionally, the Head of Finance oversees all internal and external financial reporting, auditing, and statutory compliance, contributing significantly to the organisation’s governance and decision-making processes.

By working with key internal and external teams, the Head of Finance ensures FPM’s financial stability, including managing cash and cashflow, overseeing payroll, grant and contract budgeting, and financial reporting to funders. This role is pivotal in shaping FPM's financial strategy, advising on new income streams, managing relationships with external financial bodies, and ensuring the organization meets all statutory and funder requirements.

Please note that you will not have any contact with families as part of this role.
